Microbotic A/S was established in 2001 as a dedicated R&D-company
and is a joint venture
between Pinol A/S and Unisensor A/S.
Based on industry's permanent desire to use ever smaller
components the objective was to
focus on development of advanced
robot technology to handle micro-components. Which
requires the combination of several technologies.
Pinol A/S, specialized
in
development and production of
precision mechanical
components,
have developed the complex mechanical platform
required for the micro-handling robot
system.
Unisensor A/S
are specialists in optical, non-contact measurements and
contributes with
their expertise to develop the advanced
electronics for control and measurements.
Through a formalized
and close
co-operation with the
Maersk
McKinney Møller Institute for
Production Technology
at
University of Southern Denmark state-of-the-art research results
and
application
know-how concerning robot and software technology
was combined with the
existing expertise.
From time to time we
also
work with the
Micro- and Nanotechnology Research Centre
at the
Technical University of Denmark
in order to
remain
in the forefront in our field.
... and as a result of our efforts a unique platform for micro component handling and is now
available.
